1. Application Structure
ClassSync is installed and operated independently by each school. Each school administrator manages their own list of users (students, teachers, etc.), and the data is stored locally on the administrator’s device. The application does not transmit or store personal data on external servers.
2. Personal Data Handling
All user data—including student and staff information—is created, stored, and managed exclusively by the school administrator. The developer of ClassSync does not collect, access, or retain any personal data. As a result, the developer has no visibility into the number of users or the nature of the data being managed.
3. GDPR Applicability
GDPR applies to organizations that process personal data of EU residents, offer services to individuals in the EU, or monitor their behavior. While ClassSync may be used by EU residents, the application itself does not collect, transmit, or process personal data centrally. All data remains under the control of the local school administrator.
Therefore, ClassSync is not subject to GDPR at the developer level. Each school or institution using ClassSync is responsible for ensuring their own compliance with GDPR if applicable.
4. Conclusion
Based on the above, ClassSync is not subject to the GDPR. This statement may be used to demonstrate non-applicability to relevant stakeholders.
